With an existing customer key, you can work with DataStax Support to remove it from Astra DB. This feature is available for paid Astra DB Serverless users with AWS and Google Cloud regions, supported using Astra Portal and DevOps API.

Contact DataStax Support to delete or rotate a customer key from your Astra DB organization. If you agree, the DataStax Support team may perform the key deletion on your behalf. Once a registered association with your customer managed key is deleted from your Astra DB organization, the default Astra DB data encryption provided by Astra DB is used.
